Shotgun Stolen During Jamestown Brawl

Jamestown, CA — A shotgun is unaccounted for after a fight in Jamestown Sunday night.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department says Duane Ramirez-Murfin was at his house on 7th Avenue with his roommates, when several men with weapons pulled up in two vehicles.

Reports indicate the men got out, called for Murfin and his roommates to come outside, and tried to provoke them into a fight.

Deputies say when Murfin went outside to confront the men with a shotgun they assaulted him.

During the assault, Murfin´s Mossberg 590 shotgun was stolen. Deputies found evidence of marijuana use and trafficking at the scene.

The residents were unable to provide any possible motive for the assault and no arrests have been made.
