Sonora, CA — A Sonora man is recovering from major injuries after a vehicle versus motorcycle accident Tuesday.
The Highway Patrol says 88-year-old Loren Kerr was stopped on Standard Road at the intersection with Tuolumne Road in a Subaru Outback.
Reports indicate 54-year-old Steven Duke was riding a Honda Motorcycle westbound on Tuolumne Road approaching the intersection.
Officials say Kerr failed to see Duke and attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Tuolumne Road, directly into Duke´s path of travel.
The two vehicles collided head on. Both men were taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment.
