Sacramento, CA — The conservation organization California Trout has given Assemblyman Dave Cogdill its Golden Trout Award for 2006.
The group says Cogdill introduced legislation that designates one-third of fishing license revenue for wild trout programs and hatcheries. The bill was signed into law earlier this year.
Past award winners include Attorney General Bill Lockyer and former Governor Pete Wilson.
Cogdill represents Assembly District 25, which includes Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.
