Valley Springs, CA — Calaveras County Officials have lifted a mandatory evacuation order and closed emergency shelters that have housed more than 60 families since Tuesday.
Enough repairs have been done to Peachtree Pond Dam to ensure that it will not break.
Due to more rain headed to the Mother Lode those families may have to pack up once again depending on water levels.
Sandbags are available at CDF and the Government Center in San Andreas, in Jenny Lind at the Public Works Yard and at the Foothill Fire Station.
