Old Man Winter Gives Mother Lode No Break

Sonora, CA — Another storm system is expected to bring colder weather and snow to the higher elevations Friday and Saturday.

The National Weather Service says snow levels will start out between 4,500 and 5,500 feet Thursday night, lower to 3,000 feet Friday, and bottom out between 2,000 and 3,000 feet early Saturday.

As the cold and unstable air mass moves into the region, isolated afternoon thunderstorms may occur in the lower elevations Friday and Saturday.
