Sonora, CA — Fire struck the home of Sonora City Councilman Ron Stern Sunday afternoon. The Sonora Fire Department was dispatched at 2:41. The fire was contained in the wall area near the top of the chimney. Damage has been estimated at $15-20,000. Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
