Sacramento, CA — A new statewide poll shows that most Californians haven´t heard of the proposal to pay for preschool for all four-year-olds, but they´re inclined to support the plan once they´ve learned about it.
Proposition 82 would tax the wealthiest Californians to pay for universal preschool.
But according to a Field Poll released today, just a third of likely voters say they had seen or heard about the measure.
After voters were read a summary of the proposition´s major provisions, 55 percent said they would likely support it.
