Local Residents Continue To Help Hurricane Katrina Victims

Sonora, CA– Many Tuolumne County residents are continuing to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina by aiding in the clean up in Waveland Mississippi.

Columbia resident Jim Grossman, along with other members of the team used their talents to help by cleaning up individual yards and homes.

After coming back, Grossman put together teams and went again to continue helping. Now, others are showing support throughout the community by holding a raffle for a painting done by local artist Rosemary Brunel on February 14th at the store Bowl Of Cherries in downtown Sonora.

The money raised from the raffle tickets will go toward sending Grossman and his teams back down to help rebuild more homes.
