Seasonal Forest Road Closures Take Effect Next Week

Sonora, Ca — This is the last weekend that all of the seasonal roads in the Stanislaus National Forest will be open for travel.

All roads with seasonal closure gates will be closed down on December 3rd because of anticipated wet weather conditions. Once the vehicle gates are locked, passenger vehicle travel will not be allowed on the roads until drier conditions return.

The road closures are typical for this time of year, always occurring near the end of the Personal Use Fuelwood Gathering Season, which is scheduled to end on Tuesday, November 30th.
