Twain Harte Soroptomist Club Donates $50,000 To SRMC For Breast Health Center

Sonora, Ca — A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday night for the new Breast Health Center at Sonora Regional Medical Center.

The Twain Harte Soroptomist Club was instrumental in making the center a reality. The organization donated $50,000 to the project.

“The Breast Health Center allows women web based access when looking for breast cancer information,” says SRMC Director of Development and Public Relations, Gail Witzlsteiner. “We also have an audio-visual print library available for their use in addition to a lot of literature.”

In addition, the center is designed to be a comfortable space for physicians, chaplains and social workers to work closely with cancer patients and their families.
