Sonora, CA — U.S. Forest Service Dispatcher Leah Phillips reports the five acre Engle Ranch vegetation fire at Buchanan Mine Rd. and Cottonwood Rd. was contained at 5:40pm
The Forest Service responded with four engines, two water tenders and one hand crew. CAL FIRE added two engines and a battalion chief to the effort.
There are no reports of any injuries or structural damage. Cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
