Homecoming Parade Travels Through Downtown Sonora

Sonora, Ca — School and town spirit was on display in downtown Sonora this afternoon for the annual homecoming parade.

“There´s no question that it is a united town, united community, and the school is part of the community,” says first year Principal Todd Deardon.

“They are willing to shut down a state highway to have a parade.”

The parade was lead off by Police Chief Mace McIntosh, and he was followed by the Golden Regiment Marching Band. Immediately following the parade, the band performed a concert at Courthouse Park.

The Sonora High Wildcats will try and get back on the winning track this evening when they host the Central Valley Hawks from Ceres in their 2007 Homecoming game at Dunlavey Field.
