Yosemite, Ca — The cables on Half Dome in Yosemite National Park are scheduled to be taken down on October 15th, say Yosemite officials.
The cables, which extend approximately 300 yards up the shoulder of the 8,842 ft. dome, give access to the summit.
Park officials are advising against attempting to summit Half Dome without the cables in place.
