WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT

Sonora, CA — According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm warning is now in effect until six o´clock this evening.

Snow accumulations of from one to three inches have been reported in Yosemite National Park above 9,000 feet. Near Tioga Pass it is snowing heavily at this hour.

The snow level will lower to around 7,000 feet later today with an additional two to three inches of new snow possible above 8,000 feet before ending this evening.

Sonora Pass (Hwy 108) remains open while Ebbetts Pass is closed at the east end of Lake Alpine.
