More Marijuana Eradicated By Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department

Mountain Ranch, Ca — The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department says 2,781 marijuana plants were seized during an early morning raid this week near Mountain Ranch.

The raid took place near West Murray Creek Rd. and Doster Rd. Investigators described the cultivation location as three different gardens that were 30 yards apart and connected by trails.

Suspects had constructed a makeshift dam in a nearby creek using tarps. The Sheriff´s Department says the suspects used the makeshift dam as a water source for the marijuana plants.

The suspects were not located at the grow site, but two tents and misc. items were found at the scene. The latest seizure brings the total number of marijuana plants eradicated this season to 30,857.
