Bummer Fire Flareup

Sonora, CA — According to Stanislaus National Forest officials there has been a flareup in the lightning caused Bummer Fire.

Spokesman Jerry Snyder reports the lightning caused fire, which originated July 25, has spread to approximately 50 acres overnight in the Whitaker area on the border of the Calaveras-Summit Ranger Districts near the Dardanelles.

Resources being utilized include several CAL FIRE strike teams, a Calaveras Ranger District ground crew and the Plumas Hot Shots.
