Columbia College Tennis Courts Closed

Columbia, CA — Due to a $179,300 resurfacing project the Columbia College tennis courts will be closed through the end of August.

College Spokesman Doug Lau says the facilities, maintenance and operations department of the Yosemite Community College District received state funding for the work. The work is being completed by Saviano Company of Mountain View, CA, specialists in tennis court renovations.

The tennis courts were originally installed in the 1970´s. Five years ago the courts were seal coated which proved to be a short-term solution to the deteriorating surface.

In addition to students, the tennis courts are open to the general public.
