Sonora, CA — The city of Sonora´s General Plan Update was approved Wednesday evening.
According to City Administrator Greg Applegate, following the public comment period the Planning Commission unanimounsly approved the Update. With two resolutions the City Council then adopted the Update.
The Update calls for more specific language so property owners will have greater flexibility and an understanding of what they can and cannot do with their porperty.
The General Plan Update also calls for protection of the historic integrity of the city, affordable housing and continued economic growth.
