City Firefighters Receive Pay Raise

Sonora, CA — Monday evening the City Council approved a five percent pay raise for members of the Sonora Firefighters Association.

The raise will take effect July 1. The firefighters have one year remaining on their three year contract with the city.

City Administrator Greg Applegate states negotations for a new contract with the public safety officers of the Police Department are ongoing. That current contract expires June 30.
