San Andreas, CA — Two employees of Calaveras County were arrested last week on charges of theft.
One week prior to that, Calaveras County investigators received information of a theft of county property.
An investigation ensued and led to the arrest of 53-year old Dave Sanders and 48-year old Lee Rhodes, both employees of the Public Works Department.
The Sheriff´s Department says both were arrested for embezzlement of property valued over $400. Sanders also had a charge of grand theft.
Both made bail shortly after their arrest.
No further information is available and the investigation is ongoing.
