Modesto Man Injured After Hitting Telephone Pole

Glencoe, CA – A Modesto man received minor injuries yesterday during a traffic collision on Highway 26.

The CHP says 35-year old Suzette Ryan of Wilseyville was driving too fast into a curve when she panicked, slammed on her brakes and slid into the opposing lane.

Her vehicle struck the left rear of a vehicle driven by 43-year old Edwin Pattison of Modesto. This caused Pattison to lose control, run off the roadway and strike a telephone pole.

The pole became a hazard and the road had to be shut down until Volcano Telephone Company could come out and secure it.

Pattison was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Ryan and her passenger 3-year old Tyler Romero were uninjured.
