Stanislaus National Forest Seeks Volunteers

Sonora, CA — The Stanislaus National Forest is seeking volunteers for its Forest Interpretive Program.

According to spokesperson Phyllis Ashmead, the program serves as an outlet to better connect individuals to the outdoors.

Volunteers would help with school and summer programs, development of flyers, and assist during special events.

An upcoming class will provide an overview of the volunteer opportunities in the Calaveras, Groveland, Mi-Wok and Summit Ranger Districts. It is Saturday, March 10 from 10am to 4pm in the Tuolumne Room at the Supervisors Office in Sonora.

To register, you should call 209-586-3234, ext 614.
