San Andreas, CA — A man and woman from West Calaveras were arrested last week for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale.
The Calaveras Narcotics Team stopped a vehicle in San Andreas and discovered the passenger, 25-year old Benjamin Joseph Moreno of Burson, had a warrant for his arrest. A search of the vehicle found one ounce of methamphetamine. Moreno was arrested for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale. He is in Calaveras County Jail on $118,000 bail.
The driver of the vehicle, 19-year old Sandra Vannessa Koring of Valley Springs, was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
