Deer Causes Railroad Flat Rd. Headon Collision

San Andreas, CA — Two minor injuries were suffered Saturday morning at 8:35 following a headon collision between two vehicles on Railroad Flat Rd.

25 year old Joshua Whitten of West Point was northbound when a deer came off the side of the hill to his right. Whitten swerved to the left to avoid the deer and hit a southbound vehicle driven by 28 year old Justin Earl also of West Point.

Two passengers in Whitten´s 2002 Ford, 34 year old Robert Carll and eight year old Thomas Carll of West Point, suffered minor injuries. They were treated at Sutter Amador Hospital.

The four individuals were all wearing their seat belts. No citation was issued by the C.H.P.
