Update at 7:45 am: The CHP reports that J-59 is open but traffic control is in place.
Officer Faustino Pulido notes that cleanup continues following an early morning crash, adding, “47-year-old Stockton resident, David Bryan Crook was driving a 2002 Peterbilt truck and lowboy trailer northbound on La Grange Road approaching Old Don Pedro Road. Crook allowed the right side tires to travel off the asphalt road edge and drop down a steep embankment. The weight of the truck shifted and pulled the truck and trailer to the right, through a barbed wire fence, and subsequently collided with a large oak tree. The right saddle tank on the truck ruptured from the impact spilling a large amount of diesel fuel on the ground.”

Original story posted at 6:29 am: Tuolumne County, CA — The CHP reports that an early morning crash is impacting J-59 near Old Don Pedro Road.
A big rig truck reportedly drifted off the roadway, went through some barbed wire fencing, and hit a tree. The CHP reports that there were no injuries related to the crash, but J-59 is closed. We’ll pass along more information as it becomes available.
