Peacock Selected To Lead Interfaith

Sonora, Ca — Effective the first of the year, Cathie Peacock will become the new Director of Interfaith Community Social Services.

The non-profit organization is supported by around 20 local churches, individual donations and grants from United Way. Peacock replaces Mary Salvarezza, who is retiring after 20 years of service.

?I have awfully big shoes to fill,? says Peacock. ?Mary has been there for many years and has established the whole thing. Now we are just carrying it through and kind of moving into a new stage.?

Interfaith is a humanitarian organization that supplies food, clothing, household goods, haircuts and other services to individuals who have been going through tough times. Peacock says that the upcoming period could be a challenging time for many, given the current state of the economy.

Interfaith is located at 18500 Striker Court.
