Sacramento, Ca — After a long period of dry and mild weather, the National Weather Service says that a wet storm system is headed toward the Sierra.
A first system is expected to arrive tonight and bring light precipitation, a second system on Friday, and the heaviest precipitation on Saturday and Sunday.
Those planning late season activities in the Sierra high country this upcoming weekend should be prepared for winter conditions and plan accordingly.
