Sonora Teens Arrested Following Burglary Spree

Sonora, Ca — Approximately 15 businesses were burglarized over the weekend in the area of Mono Way and Tuolumne Rd., and three arrests have been made in connection.

Lt. Dan Bressler with the Sheriff´s Office reports that during the investigation it was discovered that a 2002 silver Ford Escort was driven by the suspects while carrying out the crimes. The vehicle in question was located and stopped Sunday evening near Williams and Stewart St. in Sonora.

Inside, a deputy found many items that were reported stolen from the businesses a short time earlier. Arrested were 18-year-old Austin Willard Rodgers of Sonora, 18-year-old Jenna Holman of Sonora and an unidentified 16-year-old male juvenile.

Businesses that were burglarized include Sonora Rentals and Sales, General Supply Co., T.J Brown Locksmith, Hairy´s Family Haircuts, Harvest Fellowship, Randy´s Tire and Wheel, Complete RV, Mono Way Vet., and Twain Harte/Prudential Realty.

Bressler notes that cash, laptops and other valuables were taken.
