Bakersfield, Ca — The CHP is reporting that 31-year-old Aaron Schattschneider of Jamestown faces charges of vehicular manslaughter following an accident last night on Hwy 43 west of Bakersfield.
His 30-year-old passenger, an unidentified female from Bakersfield, was fatally injured in the accident. Schattsneider was reportedly driving erratically, and collided with a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Humberto Hernandez of Shafter.
It occurred just after eight o´clock, and Hwy 43 was closed down for over two hours.
Schattschneider was transported to the Kern Medical Center with major injuries. The CHP says alcohol was a contributing factor.
