Sonora Area Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

Sonora, CA — Retired Judge William Polley and Jamestown author and business owner Tricia Gardella have joined the Sonora Area Foundation´s Board of Directors.

The 68 year old Polley retired two years ago after serving 16 years as a Tuolumne County Superior Court Judge. He initiated his law career as a deputy and assistant district attorney. He then spent 15 years in private practice in Sonora before being appointed to the bench 19 years ago.

The 63 year old Gardella is a Sonora native. She is a cattle rancher, accomplished spinner, seamstress and needlecraft artist, children´s author and an arts and reading advocate. She currently owns and operates two family businesses in downtown Jamestown: the Here´s The Scoop ice cream parlor and a gourmet gift shop called Locals Make Good.

Those who have “termed out” as Board of Directors members are Bill Coffill and Joan Bergsund.
