Mother Lode Fairgrounds Hosts 2008 TuCare Dinner And Auction

Sonora, CA — Approximately 300 people attended the 2008 TuCare Annual Dinner and Auction at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds Saturday evening.

Following a buffet dinner, Steve Brink of the California Forestry Association served as the keynote speaker. His presentation focused on the proper management of California´s forests. He noted that approximately one million acres of California forest land was burned in 2007.

Notables attending the John Muir Building event included State Senator Dave Cogdill (14th District), State Assemblyman Tom Berryhill (25th District) and outgoing Stanislaus National Forest Supervisor Tom Quinn. Tuolumne County Supervisor and Chair of the Board Dick Pland was also in attendance.

Mike Albrecht, President of Sierra Resource Managment, Inc., served as the Master of Ceremonies.
