Beef Products Recalled From Tuolumne County Schools

Sonora, Ca — The Hallmark/Westland Meat Packing Co. out of Chino, California voluntarily recalled raw and frozen beef products this week that had been delivered to numerous schools across Tuolumne County.

According to the County Health Department, the meat was delivered from non-ambulatory cattle which had not passed adequate inspections. The schools receiving this product have now removed it from their supplies.

The schools include Big Oak Flat-Groveland Union, Columbia Union, Curtis Creek Elementary, Jamestown Elementary, Sonora Elementary, Sonora Union High School, Soulsbyville Elementary, Summerville Elementary, Summerville High and Twain Harte-Long Barn Union Elementary.

The meat products were removed as a precautionary measure.
