Gathering In Angels Camp In Support Of Troops

Angels Camp, Ca — Some Mother Lode residents gathered at the intersection of Hwy 49 and Murphys Grade Rd. today in support of U.S. troops overseas.

“What those guys are doing for us, the least we could do is drop everything and come down here,” says Vietnam Veteran Keith Bibee.

Many travelers through Angels Camp have been honking their horns in support.

“In all the times we have done this type of thing, I have never noticed this much horn honking,” says Suzette Glanville. “It is really nice, and lets our troops know that we care.”

Today marks the fifth anniversary of the launching of the invasion of Iraq. Rallies both in favor and against the war are taking place across the U.S. today.
