Arnold Area Resident Fires At Domestic Dispute Suspect

San Andreas, CA — In a chapter out of the "wild, wild west" an unidentified Arnold resident is facing possible criminal charges for his involvement in a domestic dispute incident.

At 10:20 Wednesday morning the Sheriff’s Department received a report of a shooting. A domestic dispute between a male and a female led to the injured female running to a neighbor’s home for help after being assaulted.

The neighbor confronted the suspect who was attempting to leave in a vehicle. The neighbor fired rounds which disabled the vehicle. The suspect inside the vehicle was not injured.

That individual was arrested on a charge of domestic violence and booked into the County Jail. The shooter, meanwhile, was cited for negligent discharge of a firearm and his case is being referred to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
