Denham Pegged As Radanovich’s Successor

Sacramento, CA — State Senator Jeff Denham has had a whirlwind past couple of months.

The Atwater Republican Senator was asked by George Radanovich this weekend to run for his 19th District Congressional seat. Radanovich has decided to retire in order to spend more time with his family. The Congressman’s wife, Ethie, has been battling ovarian cancer.

Denham states, "Our prayers go out to the Radanovich family and I certainly appreciate George’s support and him picking me to be his successor."

On December 11th, Denham announced that he would seek the soon to be vacated 25th District Assembly seat held by Tom Berryhill. Earlier, Denham had declared that he would run for Lt. Governor. Now his eyes are set on Washington, DC.

"I recognize that our area needs strong leadership in Washington," says Denham. "Our country continues to overspend, and if we don’t make some corrections now, we’re going to see our children and grandchildren leveraged financially for many decades to come."

Radanovich says he plans to finish out his current term in Congress.
