Five Teens Involved In Tuesday Evening Vehicular Accident

Sonora, CA — Five Sonora area teenagers were involve in a single vehicle accident on Draper Mine Rd. and Meadow Lark Tuesday evening minutes after nine o’clock.

According to the C.H.P. report 17 year old Cody Storm was headed northbound on Draper Mine Rd. at approximately 45mph. Due to his inattention (he was reportedly talking to a back seat passenger) the unlicensed Storm failed to negotiate a sharp curve in the road.

He told the investigating officer that he swerved his 2004 Ford Taurus to avoid hitting a deer, lost control of the vehicle and rolled through a fence at the corner of Draper Mine Rd. and Meadow Lark.

Storm suffered an injury to his right hand. He was treated at Sonora Regional Medical Center. 16 year old Danielle West suffered broken ribs … she was also taken to S.R.M.C. 14 year old Dalton Brown was treated for cuts and scratches. A pair of 18 year olds, Ronne Bach and Andrews Tessier were not injured.
