Sheriff’s Office Investigating Home Invasion Robbery

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion robbery that took place at approximately 2am Sunday in the Long Barn area.

According to Sgt. A.J. Ford two intruders entered the unlocked front door of a residence and immediately assaulted the victim sleeping on a couch. He was beaten in the face repeatedly until he lost consciousness.

Stolen was $2,000 in cash, a laptop computer, a backpack and a cell phone battery. Other items may also be missing.

Both intruders are described as white, male Americans in their 20’s. The first stood five feet 11 inches tall with a tattoo of a star under his left eye. The other individual is described as being six feet four inches tall.
