Sonora To Host Third Walk For Hunger

Sonora, CA — The third annual Walk For Hunger fundraiser is set for the historic downtown area tomorrow morning.

Phyllis Wingo from ATCAA (Amador Tuolumne County Action Agency) says the 20 plus green-shirted volunteers will gather at Courthouse Park and then start the three hour march at 9AM from the Umpqua Bank to the Red Church.

Wingo adds that the food need in Tuolumne County is 200 percent greater this year than last.

While the volunteers are collecting donations there will be an opportunity for children to play and be entertained at Courthouse Park.

Those wishing to donate non-perishable food can do so at the ATCCA Food Bank on Victoria Way in Jamestown.
