Railtown Celebrates Local Officers

Jamestown, CA – Today has been declared “Red, White and Blue Day” at Railtown 1897 in Jamestown.

Representatives from the Sonora Fire Department, CHP, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, CAL Fire, U.S. Forest Service and other emergency agencies are scheduled to be at the park throughout the day to talk with visitors. California State Parks Canine Handler Mick Gleckler and his patrol dog “Thor” will also make an appearance.

There will be numerous activities and a tour of the historic roundhouse. Anyone in service uniform (including scouts, military and any other public service volunteer or employee) will be allowed to ride free throughout the day.
