Superior Courts Will Be Closed Every Third Wednesday

San Andreas, CA — Beginning in September, Superior Courts across the state will be closed on the third Wednesday of the month.

Calaveras County Superior Court Executive Officer Mary Beth Todd says it is part of the recent state budget package approved by the legislature.

It is scheduled to continue through June 10, 2010. It will also affect the Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court.

The court closures are expected to save the Judicial Branch approximately $100 million.
