Tuolumne County M.E.P. Opens This Evening

Jamestown, CA — The Tuolumne County C.H.P. Maximum Enforcement Period will open this evening at six o’clock.

Officer Jesse Udovich says “black and whites” will be out in full force for the 54 hour period which will end Sunday midnight.

Udovich reminds drivers that even a single beer can make a difference in your response to a potential accident. He adds that you may be well below the .08 level but your reflexes can still be sub-standard.

Udovich also reminds all travelers to “buckle up.” It only takes a couple of seconds and it could save a life. Last year 41 people were killed in California over the July 4th weekend and more than half of them were not wearing their seatbelts.
