Road Rage Collision Leads To Arrest

Sonora, CA — There are conflicting reports as to what led up to the incident, but a truck and motorcycle collided on Stockton Rd. near downtown Sonora Monday morning.

Through witness reports, the Police Department has determined that 26-year-old Jesse Cal Rodes of Sonora was driving his Ford F350 west on Stockton Rd. and he observed an eastbound Honda Motorcycle. When Rodes and the rider saw each other, both turned their vehicles around and headed towards the other’s vehicle. Rodes then allegedly drove across the road into the opposing traffic lane and struck the motorcyclist. The motorcycle sustained damage but the rider refused medical treatment. Rodes was arrested by officers and transported to Tuolumne County Jail.

The Police Department says that the incident appears to be centered around the motorcyclist’s ex-girlfriend, who is now dating Rodes. The incident was reported at 9:56am.
