Catheys Valley, CA — CAL Fire reports this morning that the Valley Fire that ignited this past weekend off the 3000 block of Old Highway and Guadalupe Court Road, is now contained, at 149 acres.
The cause of the fire near Catheys Valley in Mariposa County remains under investigation. Initially there was a home threatened on Sunday afternoon, and the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to assist, but thankfully it was not damaged. Air resources were initially dispatched from Columbia.
