Copperopolis Town Square Celebrates Third Anniversary

Copperopolis, CA — It was exactly three years ago today on a cloudy Saturday that Castle & Cooke broke ground for the Copperopolis Town Square.

Now three years later Vice President and Division Manager Dave Haley comments that Castle & Cooke is “laying low” but “hanging in there” during the economic downturn.

Haley adds that half the Town Square lofts have been sold. As far as retail outlets are concerned, Bellavita Finishes to Furnishings just opened. May 1 will be the grand opening date for Snap’s Coffee House and Wine Bar.

Haley says Town Square traffic has greatly increased with the opening of Panini’s Italian Grill.

Still to come: Copper Market, Copper Shell Gas, Carwash & Convenience Mart, Mark Twain-St. Joseph’s Hospital and R & R Western Co.

Overall Haley says Castle & Cooke will have six projects including residential housing in the Copper Valley. To date Castle & Cooke has invested in excess of $100 million in the Town Square.
