Update at 6:30 p.m.: CAL Fire reports that when crews arrived to the reported location of a vegetation fire in the 3300 block of Chumash Circle near Shoshone Drive in the Big Trees Village area, off Highway 4 in Calaveras County, the flames they found were from a legal campfire.
Original post at 6:10 p.m.: Dorrington, CA — Columbia aircraft and fire resources are heading to a possible vegetation fire in the Dorrington area of Calaveras County.
CAL Fire relays that it was reported in the 3300 block of Chumash Circle near Shoshone Drive in the Big Trees Village area, off Highway 4. There are no further details at this time regarding the fire’s size or rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the newsroom.
