Update: Pileup On HWY 108/120

Update at 5:30 p.m.: The CHP reports that a concern that a grass fire could be ignited by one vehicle that spun out into a field was mitigated by a fire crew. Officers are still directing traffic on the eastbound lanes as tow crews remove the wreckage after five vehicles collided on Highway 108/120 near the intersection of J-59/La Grange Road in the Keystone area just after 4:30 p.m. The CHP reports one person suffered moderate injuries while another has minor.

Original post at 5 p.m.: Keystone, CA — A pile up on Highway 108/120 near the intersection of J-59/La Grange Road in the Keystone area of Tuolumne County  has traffic backed up.

The CHP reports that five vehicles collided and one person was pinned inside a vehicle, but was quickly freed. That person sustained moderate injuries, according to the CHP, which relays another individual received minor injuries. An ambulance has been called to the scene.

The CHP reports another vehicle ended up in a field and there is a concern that it could spark a grass fire. The wreckage is blocking the eastbound lanes and officers are directing traffic. Updates will be given as soon as new information comes into the newsroom.
