San Andreas, CA — According to the CHP report 58 year old Dean Link of Mokelumne Hill was arrested for driving-under-the-influence following a single vehicle accident Monday afternoon at 1:25.
Link was eastbound on Hwy 26 east of Rich Gulch Rd. when due to his high level of intoxication he allowed his vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a fence, a mile post marker and then a large tree. The impact caused his 1995 Toyota pickup to overturn.
He had to be removed from the vehicle by Fire Department personnel. Link was life flighted to Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.
