Hornitos, CA — A fire that ignited Monday in Mariposa County is now 90-percent contained and 244 acres.
The fire is located near McSwain Entrance and Lake McClure Road in Hornitos. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No structures have been damaged, and there are no evacuations in place. Air and ground resources were dispatched to aggressively fight the blaze on Monday, but those operations have now transitioned over to more of a mop-up effort.
