Deflated Tire Leads To Accident

Valley Springs, CA – A Jackson woman sustained moderate injuries in an accident Monday afternoon in Calaveras County.


The CHP says 31-year-old Carrie Jean Biondi was driving on Highway 26 west of Heineman Drive when her right front tire started deflating rapidly. She hit the brakes and spun the vehicle around. The vehicle came to a rest after going off the road and colliding with a dirt embankment. Biondi was transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital. The accident occurred at 1:50pm. No other vehicles were involved.
