Thousands Attend Sonora Christmas Parade

The 27th annual Sonora Christmas parade drew thousands to the downtown area Friday evening.

The parade started promptly at 5:30pm from the Historic Red Church and traveled down Washington Street. Around 60 entries took part this year. There were dancers, singers, classic cars, horses, dogs and even some goats. The parade is always on the Friday after Thanksgiving and serves as Sonora’s kickoff to the holiday and Christmas season.

Children were able to meet with Santa Claus immediately after the parade at Courthouse Park.
